asks: Can you give us some
recommendations for readers to look at regarding a talent/model release form?
The one I am using is 4.25in x 11.0in - double
sided, and it fits in my camera bag. I have learned
there is ONLY one best time to get these signed
(before you shoot)
Rich
asks: Copyrights via creative commons licensing
I have listened to the various L&V podcasts and didn't
hear you address anything on Creative Commons (CC).
My specific questions are:
- Is CC recognized as a valid legal binding agreement?
- If it is valid, is it worldwide or restricted to
certain countries?
- When CC is used does this void any other copyrights?
- If you get permission to use someone else's copyrighted material, can you then
mark your work and the included work with CC? - In
general, what are the pros and cons of using CC?
Alex
asks: I am creating a DVD from a live
performance of a new work.
Am I allowed to use any of the following
- Dance auditions to prerecorded music captured live
- Singing auditions with prerecorded music karaoke
style
- Singing auditions of commercially available songs
sung acapella
Thanks so much for your advice!

create a logo that is close to a trademark without
getting in legal hot water?
